Join Center for Cultural Interchange & Greenheart for its 3rd annual eco-urbanite celebration. Help beautify Wicker Park for the summer, participate in interactive workshops and kick back after a long day at the Greenheart Shop with drinks, food, and entertainment. All for free!
Plant Sale & Workshops
Saturday, May 7th and Sunday May 8th
Purchase blooming annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs for your home and at the same time support the ornamental gardens in our park. You will learn useful horticultural techniques in the workshops.
The Magic Boat
Every other Sunday from May 8th through August 14th
Enjoy the world of puppets – great for the entire family – different stories each week.
Wicker Mic
Last Fridays from May 27th through August 26th
Come and perform (musicians, poets, artists) or enjoy being an audience member.
Children's Carnival
Saturday, June 18th
An exciting action and education packed event for the entire family with numerous activities: Inflatable interactive games, Toddlers in Tiaras – Beauty Pageant, a claymation film created by the children's art class, and performances including the JLC-Health Train (Healthy Eating ideas and Fitness), JLC-Mad Hatters (Encouraging Reading and Learning), and The Magic Boat Puppet Theater.
Movies in the Park
Third Mondays From June 20th through August 15th
From animated super-villains to live-action heroes, this summer enjoy three great movies showing on the third Monday for three consecutive months. On Monday, June 20th, Despicable Me, on Monday, July 18th, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and on Monday, August 15th, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. You bring a blanket and we'll bring the popcorn.

Work with veteran gardeners in Wicker Park's 10,000 ft2 ornamental gardens. Learn how to design with and successfully maintain the park's extensive plant palette. You help tend the gardens and take home valuable horticultural and design knowledge.
